(c) (i) Where a staff member who is not employed permanently or almost indeterminately is appointed to a permanent post without interruption of service or declared quasi-permanent, his or her leave account shall be credited with the leave earned that would have been authorized if his or her previous service as a staff member on permanent service had been reduced by a leave of absence already taken. (1) The leave earned shall be credited to the employee`s leave account in the amount of 2 and a half days for each calendar month of service completed by the employee during six months of the calendar year in which the employee is appointed. A government employee may be permitted to redeem leave earned for a maximum period of 10 days at the time of receiving the vacation travel reduction during service, provided that (b) if the amount of leave earned that a government employee who is dismissed or transferred from service or dies during his or her period of service has already taken exceeds the vacation credit provided for in clause (b) of Rule 27 of Rule 27; Excessive payment of vacation pay will be levied in these cases. Provided that such recovery does not take place if the retirement is due to an illness which prevents the official from continuing his service or in the event of death. 20[2) (a) Where a staff member retires after reaching the normal retirement age under the conditions applicable to his or her period of service, the swedish leave authority shall issue an order granting the staff member at the time of retirement the cash holiday salary equal to the holiday salary and, where applicable, half of the salary at the time of retirement, subject to a maximum of 300 days. (1-A) Half of the paid leave up to a maximum of 180 days may be converted throughout the service (without presentation of a medical certificate) if this leave is used for a program of study recognized as certified by the leave sanctioning authority as being in the public interest.
